Inner City at the RISD Museum

Please join us on Friday, September 25, from 6-8 pm, for the opening of Inner City, the RISD Museum’s new exhibition at the Chace Center. Inner City is a large collaborative installation by ceramic sculptor Arnie Zimmerman, and architect Tiago Montepegado. The installation consists of two hundred of Zimmerman’s ceramic elements, which are displayed in the site-specific architectural framework designed by Montepegado. Inner City encapsulates the human condition: a multitude of figures engage in activities ranging from the grandest of feats to the most repetitive of everyday chores as they build buildings and carry out their lives. The exhibition will be on view until January 3.
