Photo Grad, Natalia Almada, is returning to RISD to screen her latest film,
El General, that just won the award for best direction at Sundance. The
screening will be at 7 pm in the RISD Auditorium and is a pre-release
premier, so it's a very special event. The film will be broadcast on POV
(PBS) later in the summer.
The following evening, March 31, at 7 pm at Chace Center, Natalia will be
giving a formal talk as part of the Photo Dept. TC Colley lecture series and
will screen All Water Has A Perfect Memory, her MFA Thesis project that went
on to win the award for best documentary short at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Her second award-winning feature film, Al Otro Lado, will be screened on
Wednesday in Peter O'Neill's documentary film class.
Please make plans to attend and tell your students. These events
(with the exception of Peter's class!) are free and open to the public.
