Subject: Job Description for Colonial Newport Project Director
To: RI Council for the Humanities <sue@rihumanities.org>

Friends,
I am now accepting cover letters and resumes for an open temporary position at RICH to serve as a Project Director for a new initiative funded by the van Beuren Charitable Foundation. The Project Director will work with a Newport cohort* to devise long-term strategies to lift up Newport's world renown Colonial history. This is an exciting new initiative that aims to facilitate conversations and seed ideas for resource sharing and collaboration, with the idea that organizations working together as a whole can achieve more than the sum of their parts.

Attached please find the job description and qualifications for this exciting new opportunity. Please note: while the position is offered by RICH, the project director will work in Newport (at an office space at the Pell Center at Salve Regina University). Please distribute this email to anyone who you think may qualify. We look forward to hiring quickly, so please encourage your contacts who are interested to apply ASAP.

Many thanks!
SueEllen

* current "cohort" members include: Newport Historical Society, The Preservation Society of Newport County, Redwood Library and Athenaeum, and Newport Restoration Foundation.
