ArtsWA Art in Public Places Project Manager (Full Time)Deadline: 11/28/12Apply HEREThe Art in Public Places program (AIPP) of the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) facilitates the acquisition of artwork for public buildings. This position, part of a five person team reporting to the AIPP Program Manager, manages public art projects with responsibility for the acquisition of artwork in the State Art Collection. The incumbent will manage projects with partner agencies by establishing local decision making committees, determining budgets, and coordinating and collaborating with critical decision makers and constituents such as the board of regents, agency directors, school boards, fiscal officers, campus architects, etc. The position will facilitate artist selection and artwork acquisition, using analysis and assessment of project specific considerations and promotes stewardship, public awareness, and understanding using education efforts, media relations, public meetings, and printed materials.Note: Applicants must apply only through Careers.wa.gov, not directly to ArtsWA.
