Advertised Summary Job Description: The Columbia Center for Oral History seeks an experienced professional to serve as a Project Coordinator within the world's largest oral history program. The CCOH is known for its excellence in interviewing, archiving, and teaching oral history. The focus of the collection is US and international political and cultural history. Reporting to the Director of the CCOH, the project coordinator will be responsible for the administrative management of a 75-hour oral history project of Guantanamo and other additional projects as needed. Responsibilities include: sending letters of invitation to interviewees, scheduling interviews, tracking internal progress and expenditures, reviewing interview research and content to shape the thematic direction of the project, working with transcription and video vendors, and supervising student employees when needed. Additionally, the incumbent will work with the Director of the CCOH to disseminate knowledge through public lectures and educational programs based on the project content and findings. The Coordinator will also maintain the project budget.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).  Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications 

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word and Excel)  

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with oral history and/or collection/archives as well as comfort with digital recording devices and media preferred. Working knowledge of the history of Guantanamo Bay also preferred.
