Massachusetts Historical Society Graduate Student Reception

Please join us for our second annual Graduate Student Reception on September 22, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Massachusetts Historical Society, 1154 Boylston St., Boston.

We invite you and your students to begin the new academic year by meeting graduate students and faculty from other universities who are also working in your field. Enjoy refreshments, take a tour of the Society, and learn about the range of resources available here to support your work, including our fellowship programs. Refreshments and networking will be offered beginning at 6:00 p.m., with opening remarks at 6:30 p.m. Tours will follow, but throughout the evening colleagues will have the chance to socialize and to view the Society's brand-new, permanent exhibition, "'Like a Wolf for the Prey': The Massachusetts Historical Society Collection Begins."

All graduate students in American history and related subjects are invited to attend. Faculty members in these fields are also welcome. This program is free of charge, but an RSVP is required. Email kviens@masshist.org or phone 617-646-0568 by September 21 with your name, affiliation, and major academic interest. Attendees should indicate whether they are a graduate student or faculty member.

We look forward to seeing you and your students on the 22d.

Best wishes,

Conrad E. Wright
