Providence Preservation Society (PPS) is seeking volunteers to help out at our Winter Bash

Providence Preservation Society (PPS) is seeking volunteers to help out at
our Winter Bash, coming up on Saturday, February 7 at the Sharpe Building
(in the Foundry Complex). The event runs from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight
and there will be live music by Santa Mamba and creative hors d¹oeuvres. The
attire is funky formal ranging from blue jeans to ball gowns!

Volunteer Shifts will run 3 hours per shift. They are:
Saturday morning: 10:00 am-1:00 pm
Saturday afternoon: 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
Saturday night: 6:30-9:30
Saturday night: 8:30-11:30
Saturday night: 11:00 pm ­ 2:00 am

Volunteer opportunities include:
-Set-up
-Greeting guests
-Registration
-Drink Ticket Sales (We really need help with this)
-Coat Check
-Floating (miscellaneous)
-Clean-up (We really need help with this)

The Providence Preservation Society was formed in 1956 to respond to the
proposed demolition of a number of 18th- and early 19th-century houses on
College Hill. The Providence Preservation Society (PPS) has grown from that
small neighborhood group to a multi-faceted citywide preservation
organization. With a large membership, a professional staff, and countless
volunteers, PPS is able to provide a broad range of services that fulfill
its mission to improve the quality of life in the city of Providence through
historic preservation and the enhancement of the built environment.
