HISTORICAL PRESERVATION & HERITAGE COMMISSION

Call For Ideas:   The RI Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission will be presenting the 23rd Annual Rhode Island Statewide Historic Preservation Conference on Saturday, April 12, 2008 in Providence.  Because 2008 marks the Commission's 40th anniversary, the conference will be a celebration of preservation in Rhode Island and a forum for discussing past, present, and future directions.  All relevant topics...landscape, architectural design, planning, smart growth, ethnic heritage, technology, sustainability, recent past, neighborhood revitalization, economics, artistry, museums, tourism, etc...are encouraged.  Please contact Sarah Zurier with your suggestions for session topics, speakers, and tours at szurier@preservation.ri.gov <mailto:szurier@preservation.ri.gov> .
