The Visuals Coordinator will teach painting and/or drawing classes to youth and will supervise additional instructors who offer classes in a variety of mediums (screenprinting, sculpture, multimedia). The Coordinator helps youth document finished work and upload images to their personal portfolios.
In addition to designing and implementing in-school classes, the Visuals Coordinator is also responsible for developing professional opportunities for youth, including gallery shows and earned income jobs (painting murals, screenprinting, etc). The Visuals Coordinator collaborates with other staff to manage our Youth Gallery and to produce items that youth can sell through our online store.
This is a full-time position. Work hours are 11-7pm, Monday – Friday. The Visuals Coordinator also works one Saturday every 6-8 weeks.
