We have two interesting opportunities open.  Help us spread the word!

 

Van Lier Visual Artist Fellowship Application, Deadline: September 7, 2012
Information Sessions: July 25 and August 4, 2012 at Wave Hill

This one-year artist fellowship is open to New York City-based artists, who are 30 years of age or younger and are not currently enrolled in a degree-granting program. The fellowship provides emerging artists from culturally diverse backgrounds valuable mentorship opportunities, including learning from the curatorial staff about the creation and interpretation of exhibitions and arts programming, as well as working with artists and arts professionals to define career paths over the course of the program (January through December). Van Lier Fellows will be given a studio during the Winter Workspace Program and will receive a commission to create a solo project in the Sunroom Project Space.

We are also seeking a curatorial fellow which is a 1-year, 4-day week position for a recent graduate starting in September. Many of you have worked with our amazing past fellows, Makeda, Hannah, Stephanie and now John. So we're looking for someone great to fill their shoes. I just posted the job on NYFA and its also on our website. Interested candidates should apply in the next three weeks.
