Fires of Spring
Irish Culture and Folklore of the Spring Season
Thursday, March 18, 5:30 p.m.
List Arts Building, Rm 120
Brown University Campus
Kate Chadbourne (Celtic Languages and Literature, Harvard University) will speak, sing, and tell stories about Irish customs, beliefs, folklore, and hagiography of the spring season. Dr. Chadbourne’s enthusiasm has enthralled Haffenreffer Museum patrons with her voice, harp, and flute, getting Museum visitors up and signing along with her. Join us for this spring celebration and, as she says, “We’ll get the sun up from her winter snooze and set her blazing again!”
Reception will follow.
