From Masterpieces to Motion Sensors: The Art of Being a Museum Director

Immediately following there will be a wine and cheese reception in the Adele Simmons Hall Lobby.

Stephan Jost received his B.A. in art history from Hampshire College and his M.A. in art history from the University of Texas at Austin. Stephan is currently the museum director at Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont, where he leads an institution with a $4.9 million budget, a total of 100 FTE staff, a collection of over 150,000 objects, and 39 exhibition buildings. Before arriving in Shelburne, he was museum director at the Mills College Art Museum in Oakland, California.
